This study explores how sustained participation in marathon running relates to aerobic fitness and healthy ageing. Drawing on international data from experienced multi-marathoners, it compares estimated VO₂max levels and age-related trends with established population reference values.
The research aims to contribute to understanding how endurance participation and aerobic capacity interact across the lifespan within the context of healthy ageing.
