This study examines how physiological fitness, psychological traits, and cognitive performance interact within the multi-marathon community. Drawing on multiple international datasets, it applies an integrated biopsychosocial framework to explore relationships between participation behaviours, mental wellbeing, physical capacity, and cognitive function.
By combining demographic, psychological, physiological, and cognitive data, the research seeks to identify underlying patterns that characterise endurance athletes and to advance understanding of how body, mind, and motivation connect in sustained endurance participation.
